Adopt\u00e9 en f\u00e9vrier 2020 par Laura (69)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

\u00ab Hiver 2020 : je commence \u00e0 regarder pour adopter un deuxi\u00e8me chien, afin de tenir compagnie \u00e0 Romie, ma mamie malinoise de 13 ans \u00e0 l’\u00e9poque, puisqu\u2019on allait enfin d\u00e9m\u00e9nager et avoir la place n\u00e9cessaire pour lui prendre un copain. Je suis rapidement tomb\u00e9e sur le site de Remember Me, et j’ai craqu\u00e9 sur la bouille de Coyote. Le processus d’adoption s’est d\u00e9roul\u00e9 sans souci ; quand Vanessa m’a appel\u00e9e pour m’annoncer que Coyote viendrait \u00e0 la maison, j’\u00e9tais la plus heureuse du monde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

22 f\u00e9vrier 2020 vers 23 heures, sur un parking aux alentours de M\u00e2con : il est enfin l\u00e0 ! Coyote \u00e9tait terroris\u00e9 en sortant du camion et a cat\u00e9goriquement refus\u00e9 de nous suivre. Il a fallu le porter dans notre caisse de transport pour qu’on puisse finir le trajet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Les premiers jours ont \u00e9t\u00e9 extr\u00eamement compliqu\u00e9s. Il avait peur de tout : de nous, des interrupteurs, de tous les \u00e9crans de la maison… Il n’y avait que Romie qui semblait quand m\u00eame le rassurer un peu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Au bout de 3 jours, il a compris qu’il pouvait passer sous notre lit et s’est cach\u00e9 dessous pendant de longues semaines, n’en sortant que la nuit pour boire et faire ses besoins… Au bout d’un mois et demi, nous avons commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 interagir avec lui, r\u00e9ussissant \u00e0 le faire sortir de sa tani\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Le confinement est pass\u00e9 par l\u00e0, ce qui nous a permis de rester avec lui en permanence et de tisser un lien. Les mois ont pass\u00e9 ; avec l’aide de notre v\u00e9t\u00e9rinaire comportementaliste et des sessions de d\u00e9sensibilisation par centaine, on a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 voir les progr\u00e8s : <\/p>\n\n\n\n
– il \u00e9tait propre et profitait du jardin quand on l’y portait au bout 3 mois plus tard 
– il \u00e9tait suffisamment d\u00e9sensibilis\u00e9 \u00e0 la laisse pour sa premi\u00e8re sortie apr\u00e8s 10 mois chez nous 
– au bout d’un an \u00e0 la maison, il a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 s’approcher de nos amis proches qui venaient r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement 
– un an et demi apr\u00e8s son adoption, il \u00e9tait enfin \u00e0 l’aise dans toute la maison et pouvait sortir dans le jardin seul<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\u00c7a fait maintenant 2 ans et demi qu’il est arriv\u00e9 en France. \u00c0 l’heure o\u00f9 j’\u00e9cris ces lignes, nous l\u2019avons emmen\u00e9 en vacances avec nous. C\u2019est la 2\u00e8me fois de sa vie qu\u2019il tente l\u2019exp\u00e9rience, dans une maison presque inconnue o\u00f9 il profite \u00e0 fond des grandes balades en montagne. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Il est et restera sans doute toujours un grand craintif, ayant peur des personnes et des lieux inconnus (et de toutes les nouvelles choses de mani\u00e8re g\u00e9n\u00e9rale) ; mais il semble d\u00e9sormais \u00eatre un loulou bien dans ses pattounes au quotidien. Le voir s’\u00e9panouir et progresser est un bonheur permanent. Il nous le rend avec tout l’amour qu’un chien puisse donner. \u00bb<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
