\u00ab Je cherchais \u00e0 adopter un petit compagnon depuis plusieurs mois (et \u00e7a faisait des ann\u00e9es que j\u2019en avais envie, j\u2019attendais le bon moment). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

En avril 2022, je tombe sur l\u2019annonce d\u2019une des familles d\u2019accueil de l\u2019association Remember Me ; elle h\u00e9bergeait alors trois chats en attendant qu\u2019ils trouvent un foyer d\u00e9finitif. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nous avons pris contact par t\u00e9l\u00e9phone ; j\u2019ai pu lui expliquer ma situation, ainsi que mon exp\u00e9rience en mati\u00e8re d\u2019animaux de compagnie. Nous avons convenu que les chats qu\u2019elle avait chez elle ne correspondaient pas \u00e0 mon profil. Nous avons donc cherch\u00e9 parmi ceux qui \u00e9taient encore au refuge en Roumanie. On sent que l\u2019\u00e9quipe veut que l\u2019adoption se d\u00e9roule au mieux, que l\u2019animal et l\u2019\u00eatre humain concern\u00e9s se correspondent bien, afin que chacun trouve son bonheur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Plusieurs profils sont sortis du lot ; parmi eux, le petit Spoty. Un chat noir… \u00c0 cause de leur couleur, ces f\u00e9lins sont abandonn\u00e9s en masse, et peinent \u00e0 \u00eatre adopt\u00e9s.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

C\u2019est sur lui que j\u2019ai craqu\u00e9. Quelques semaines plus tard, mon dossier \u00e9tait valid\u00e9. J\u2019ai re\u00e7u la bonne nouvelle quelques jours \u00e0 peine avant le rapatriement ; branle-bas de combat dans mon petit appartement, afin que tout soit pr\u00eat avant l\u2019arriv\u00e9e de la boule de poils ! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Quand je l\u2019ai enfin vu pour la premi\u00e8re fois dans sa caisse de transport, avec sa petite bouille et ses immenses yeux, c\u2019\u00e9tait incroyable (j\u2019en ai m\u00eame pleur\u00e9). Spoty est joueur, c\u00e2lin, curieux, d\u00e9bordant d\u2019\u00e9nergie, et surtout, malgr\u00e9 son pass\u00e9, bien dans ses pattes.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Au d\u00e9part, il ne mangeait pratiquement pas alors qu\u2019il \u00e9tait plut\u00f4t maigre. J\u2019ai d\u00fb \u00eatre inventive pour le faire toucher \u00e0 sa gamelle… Il se roulait souvent dans sa liti\u00e8re, angoiss\u00e9 par le changement. Dans ces moments-l\u00e0, je le sortais du bac et le mettait calmement dans un de ses lits, ce qui finissait par l\u2019apaiser. Ce comportement a fini par dispara\u00eetre. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
C\u2019est aussi \u00e7a, la cl\u00e9 avec ces animaux au pass\u00e9 compliqu\u00e9 : le calme et la patience. En dehors de ces petits soucis, il a toujours \u00e9t\u00e9 irr\u00e9prochable : il n\u2019a jamais fait ses besoins hors de la liti\u00e8re ou griff\u00e9 les meubles ! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00c7a peut para\u00eetre effrayant de faire venir un animal de l\u2019autre bout de l\u2019Europe. Votre entourage peut avoir du mal \u00e0 vous comprendre, mais c\u2019est peut \u00eatre l\u2019occasion de rencontrer votre \u00e2me s\u0153ur poilue !
