Transit foster family

Some dogs are repatriated to a foster family in France, especially for a recovery period or transition before final adoption. It's not a quarantine, it's an adjustment time in a family setting.

Preparing for arrival

Required equipment

  • Suitable harness (no Julius-type)
  • Collar with engraved tag (your phone number)
  • 2 leashes (no retractable)
  • Hard-sided travel crate

Documents provided

  • European passport
  • TRACES declaration (EU traceability)
  • ICAD registration (French microchip)

During the first days, keep your dog on a leash, even in the garden. Patience and calm are essential. Our team and partner dog trainers are available to support you.
