All elements making up the website (texts, images, videos, logos) are protected by copyright. Any reproduction, representation or distribution, in whole or in part, without the prior written consent of Remember Me France is strictly prohibited.

Website design and development: EXPawa. Under article L121-1 of the French intellectual property code, an author's right to have their name attached to their work is perpetual, inalienable and imprescriptible. This credit therefore remains regardless of how the operating rights to the website evolve.

Personal Data and GDPR

Remember Me France processes personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR - EU Regulation 2016/679) and the French Data Protection Act.

Data collected, purposes, legal bases and retention periods:

• Contact form (name, email, subject, message) · purpose: answering your request. Legal basis: legitimate interest. Recipients: the team (email sent through Brevo) and our contact management tool (Ohme). Retention: 3 years after the last exchange.
• Adoption application (identity, contact details, address, date of birth, occupation, household, pets, Facebook link if given, questionnaire answers) · purpose: reviewing your application and arranging the adoption. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps taken at your request. Recipients: the adoption team (email sent through Brevo), Ohme and our internal follow-up record on ForumActif. Retention: if the adoption goes ahead, for the animal's whole life, because the adoption contract requires the adopter to contact us before any rehoming or abandonment; otherwise, 3 years after the file is closed. A draft of the form stays in your browser for 7 days at most; it is never sent before you submit it.
• Volunteering and foster families (first name, last name, email, phone, postcode, town, availability, skills, motivation) · purpose: getting back to you about your involvement. Legal basis: pre-contractual steps taken at your request. Recipients: the team (email sent through Brevo) and Ohme. Retention: length of your involvement, then 2 years.
• Newsletter (email, first and last name if given, date of your consent) · purpose: sending you our news. Legal basis: consent. Recipients: Brevo (sending) and Ohme if a first name is given. Retention: until you unsubscribe, which you can do from any email. If Brevo does not respond when you sign up, the address waits on our server and the sign-up is retried every week, for 30 days at most.
• Donations and payments (identity, address, email, amount) · the payment is processed by HelloAsso, which sends us the confirmation. Purpose: recording your donation, issuing the tax receipt, thanking you. Legal basis: legal obligation and performance of your donation. Recipients: HelloAsso and Ohme. The conversion signal sent to Google contains only the amount and a transaction number, no personal data. Retention: 6 years (tax obligation).
• Audience measurement and advertising (pages viewed, device, cookie identifier) · Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta, only after you accept on the banner. Purpose: improving the site and learning which ads bring adopters and donors. Legal basis: consent. Before you choose, the Google tag sends cookieless signals with no identifier (Google's advanced consent mode), so that our ads' conversions remain measurable. Retention: cookies for 13 months at most.
• Arrival channel (the site that brought you here: Google, Facebook, an email…) · recorded, only after you accept, together with your request if you fill in a form. Legal basis: consent. Retention: a 6-month cookie, then with your contact record.
• Technical logs and backups (IP address, browser, page requested, errors) · purpose: site security and troubleshooting. Legal basis: legitimate interest. Retention: 14 days for web server logs, 7 days for application logs. Encrypted server backups are kept for 14 days, on the server and on the association's Google Drive. Safety copies of the forms received, kept on the server, are erased automatically after 3 years; the files themselves follow the periods above.
• Embedded content YouTube videos on some pages and OpenStreetMap maps load when the page is displayed: Google (YouTube, in its no-advertising-cookie version) and the OpenStreetMap Foundation then receive your IP address. On dog profiles, videos only load when you click. The donation form is provided by HelloAsso.

Recipients: data is processed by the Remember Me France team and its processors: Hostinger (site hosting), OVH (domain name), Google (the association's email, encrypted backups, audience measurement and advertising after consent, YouTube), Brevo (email sending), Ohme (contact management), HelloAsso (payments and donations), ForumActif (internal adoption follow-up), Meta (advertising measurement, after consent) and OpenStreetMap (maps). The site is designed and maintained by EXPawa, a processor of the association. No data is sold or transferred.

Transfers outside the EU: Google and Meta may process data in the United States. These transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, of which both companies are members, and on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. For measurement and advertising they only happen after your consent, except for the Google tag's cookieless signals described above and YouTube videos shown on some pages. OpenStreetMap is operated from the United Kingdom, which the European Commission recognises as providing adequate protection.

Your rights: under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object, and you may withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise them, write to contact@remembermefrance.org: we reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the CNIL (cnil.fr).

Cookies

This site uses cookies needed for it to work and, only with your consent, audience measurement and advertising cookies.

Cookies and storage used:

• rmf-consent stores your choice on the banner. Duration: 1 year. Necessary.
• rmf_pilotage keeps the team logged in to its management area; only set for the team. Duration: 7 days. Necessary.
• rmf_acq remembers the site that brought you here, to link it to your request if you fill in a form. Duration: 6 months. After your consent.
• _ga, _ga_* Google Analytics, audience measurement. Duration: 13 months. After your consent.
• _gcl_au Google Ads, measuring how well our ads work. Duration: 90 days. After your consent.
• _fbp Meta, measuring how well our ads work. Duration: 90 days. After your consent.
• Browser storage application draft (7 days at most, erased on submission), dogs viewed and favourites, newsletter window display. This information stays on your device and is never sent to us.

You can change your choice at any time with the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw your consent, measurement and advertising cookies are erased and the page reloads without them.

Limitation of Liability

Remember Me France endeavors to keep the information on the website up to date. The association cannot be held responsible for errors or omissions, nor for damages resulting from the use of the website.

Applicable Law

The website and these legal notices are governed by French law. French courts have jurisdiction over any disputes.
