Since 2014, over 6,000 families in France, Belgium and Switzerland have adopted from us. Our dogs are not strangers: they lived at the Pascani shelter, cared for and observed, sometimes for months, by a team that knows each one of them.
What about trauma?
Many arrive fearful. That is normal, and it can be worked on. Before the big departure, some go through a foster family for convalescence. After adoption, you are never alone: our team and our partner trainers support you.
2,000 km, isn't that exhausting?
The repatriation takes about 48 hours, in supervised convoys, twice a month. Each dog travels microchipped, vaccinated, in order, with their European passport.

Step 1: Tell us about yourself
Fill out a short adoption questionnaire. We learn about your lifestyle, your home, your experience with dogs, so we can find the best match.
Step 2: Chat with us
A phone call with our team. We answer your questions, talk about the dog you like, discuss adaptation time. It's a human moment.
Step 3: Home visit
One of our volunteers visits your home to ensure everything is safe and comfortable. This is about trust, for you and the dog.
Step 4: Pay the fees
Adoption costs from €50 to €320 depending on the dog's profile. This covers: vaccinations, sterilization, chip, transport, and care at the shelter. No profit, it all goes to rescue.

A simple contract. We ask for a commitment: this dog is part of your family forever. If it doesn't work out, call us. We take them back, always.
Step 6: Repatriation & meeting
Your dog arrives in a convoy from Romania. You pick them up at a pickup point. For the first time, they're safe. The rest is up to you.

Adoption fees
The amount depends on the dog's profile. Payment can be split into instalments via HelloAsso (FlexiPaiement).
Sterilization deposit: €500 (refunded upon veterinary certificate).
Complete health monitoring
Every animal repatriated by Remember Me France receives comprehensive health care:
- Identification (microchip, EU passport)
- Rabies vaccine
- Initial vaccinations and boosters
- FIV/FeLV screening (cats)
- Antiparasitic treatment
- Spaying/neutering
- Dental scaling if needed
- Complete medical examination
- ICAD registration (French canine database)
- Health check by our official vet on arrival in France
- TRACES (European traceability registry)

Our team and partner dog trainers remain available throughout the adjustment period. An adopter's guide is provided when your dog arrives. Adjustment takes time, weeks, sometimes months. You are never alone.

Yes. A member of the association visits your home to validate the environment. It's not an inspection, it's a conversation to make sure everything will be ready for your dog.
Yes, as long as the dog goes out regularly and the environment is suited to their needs.
Yes. Every dog is vaccinated, microchipped, with their European passport. All repatriations are reported to the European TRACES system.
Our team supports you. We offer a free session with a partner dog trainer. All repatriated dogs arrive stressed and exhausted, that's normal. Adjustment takes time.
As a last resort, we always take our dogs back. A return fee of 200 € is required.
