Offerthehomethatcomesbeforethefamily
Before finding their forever family, a rescued dog needs a place to breathe, regain strength, and rediscover the gentleness of a home. You are not adopting them. You are offering the stepping stone, that passage between the shelter and adoption that changes everything.
« The day your foster leaves with their family, it is a goodbye. It is also a space that opens up, and another dog who can finally leave the shelter. »
What a foster family does
What an open door changes
A dog does not relearn family life at the shelter. They relearn it in your home, at their own pace, in the ordinary noise of a house.
You offer the home and the time. The association covers veterinary costs and medical care if needed: you pay nothing out of pocket.
Every foster home frees up a place at the shelter. Your open door means another dog can be rescued.
You watch a dog transform before your eyes. Few experiences leave a mark this clear.
Fostering is not quarantine
A foster family is not an isolation room. Every rescued dog arrives sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, with blood work done and an up-to-date health record. What you welcome is recovery and adjustment: a dog learning the home, the leash, trust. You share your daily life, not a closed room.
